Concerned Catholics Canberra Goulburn conducted a public workshop which focused solely on shaping a submission to the 2020 Plenary Council. It reflected the realities of the predicament of the Australian church in 2018 and discerned the wisdom of the People of God in this Archdiocese in responding to that situation.
The program included:
• Background and context to understanding the predicament of the Australian Catholic church in 2018
• A focus on the significance of cultural issues within the church and the need for effective engagement with all in contemporary Australian society
• Group discussions on key areas of focus/issues to be addressed in a submission to the Plenary Council
• Identification of key points for the submission
